Summary in  English

After  ten minutes, the bell rang for tea, everyone except Virginia came down. Servants were sent to call her but she was not in her room. Her brothers went to the garden to see her but she was not there either. Mr. Otis searched her in every room but no trace of her was found . Mr. Otis remebered that, fes days ago he had permitted a band of gypsies to stay in the park. He sent someone to look for virginia in the camp, but the gypsies had left already. Everyone along with Duke of Cheshire were anxious. Mr. Otis feared Virginia's kidnap by the gypsies. Mr. Otis feared Virginia's kidnap by the gypsies. He despatched telegrams to all the police inspectors in the country. He then started in his horse to look for the girl. The Duke of cheshire came after him showing his concern and worry for virginia. They reached the station-master and asked for Virginia but ni good news could be heard. They returned home late in the night. The police caught the gypsies but Virginia was not with them. The entire family was in depression and despair. Then everyone had dinner and Mr. Otis asked them to go to bed as nothing more could  be done at night. As they were about to leave, a strange thunder, cry and loud noise filled the room and virginia stepped in. Everyone was happy. They asked for her whereabouts. She told that she was with the ghost who dead then. He was very wicked but was sorry for all his doings and he had given her a box of beauiful jewelss. She tool them to a narrow secret corridor to a room studded with rusty nails. They entered the room and saw a skeleton hanging on the wall with hge iron rings and chained from head to toe. Water and trencher were lying unused near the skeleton. It was the skeleton of the Canterville Ghost who died of hunger. She told that God has forgiven him and his soul rests in peace now.
